Scripture to Read: 1 John 4:7-12
Memory verse: John 13:34-35“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Read verses 7 and 8. What is the evidence that one knows God? What is the evidence that one does not know God? Why?
How did God show His love to us?
What is the basis of our love for one another? Why is this important?
Read verse 12. How can we show the world that God lives in us? (Also read John 13:34-35.)
What does it mean to be Christ’s disciple? What is the only way to share Christ to the world?
John says that being Christ’s disciple is about loving others because God loves us through Jesus Christ. Have I been living as His disciple? What needs to change?
