South Africa
mk2mk has been bringing MKs to South Africa since 2012! Come be part of our continued investment in the community, and join many generations of MKs who have grown and learned in community together. Our trips always include both internal and external ministry. Internal ministry is focused on discipling and empowering our MKs in their walks with God and their personal growth. The external ministry focuses on both learning about and serving the needs of the local community. We partner with two organizations: Norwegian Settlers Church & Genesis Hope South Africa. We typically try to do a mixture of kids ministry (similar to VBS), youth ministry (leading games, talks, camps, etc.), and tangible service (Community Care through Genesis, delivering food parcels and other gifts to community members).
For internal ministry, we have bible studies, small groups, and worship and prayer in the evenings. We also do fun outings as a way to bond. We typically live in a retreat center near the church: Skogheim Christian Conference Center. Students will be a part of a small group with other MKs led by one of our mk2mk leaders or interns. Leaders will meet with students for one-on-one discipleship throughout the trip. Students will also be a part of a bible study and will hear talks given by our leaders on a variety of topics relevant to MKs, such as biblical sexuality, mental health, doubt, transition, grief, guy/girl issues, and so much more!
Where: Port Shepstone, South Africa
When: June 13-July 10
Project Cost: $3000 + airfare

The Philippines
This is mk2mk’s first time going to The Philippines! Come pioneer with us and explore a new partnership. You’ll be the first MKs to get to serve in this part of the world with our team. Because of this newness, we are still planning our trip.
Our trips always include both internal and external ministry. Internal ministry is focused on discipling and empowering our MKs in their walks with God and their personal growth. The external ministry focuses on both learning about and serving the needs of the local community. In the Philippines we’ll partner with one amazing church, Christ Centered Fellowship. On our projects we typically try to do a mixture of kids ministry (similar to VBS), youth ministry (leading games, talks, camps, etc.), evangelism (sharing our faith and our personal testimony) and tangible service.
