Brianna was born and grew up in Santiago, Dominican Republic, with her family. In 2015, her family moved to Tucson, Arizona, when she was in high school. She attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a Family Studies and Human Development degree. She spent one year doing ministry in Northern Africa before coming to work for MK2MK. She is very excited to get to meet amazing TCKs, disciple young women in their relationship with Jesus, and encourage strong, healthy families living overseas.

Kristin Green

Kristin grew up in the mountainous country of Slovenia. After graduating, she moved to Wisconsin and attended a Technical College for her associate degree. In 2019, she moved to Colorado and attended Ravencrest Bible School. Kristin taught 4K Kindergarten in Wisconsin before moving to Orlando to work with mk2mk. Kristin was involved with mk2mk while growing up, and it greatly impacted her life. She loves any and all things mk! She is excited to come alongside missionary kids and listen to their unique stories.

J M

J M grew up mostly in Moscow, Russia, and returned to the US before his junior year of high school. After a college career adventuring from Engineering and German to Sociology and Urban Studies, JM worked in manufacturing for 3 years in the US, followed by 3 years of teaching in Kazakhstan. Ben Stecker is an MK who grew up in East Asia. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Family, Youth, and Community Sciences degree. He first got involved with mk2mk as a high school student on their summer missions and then as a leader in college. Ben’s experiences receiving and extending care through mk2mk gave him a deep passion for coming alongside MKs in their stories, faiths, and lives in general. This year, he is excited to serve with mk2mk through local discipleship, social media, and prayer initiatives.

Kathryn Serstad

Kathryn grew up in Romania and Hungary with her two sisters. After graduating high school in Hungary, she moved to South Carolina and attended Anderson University, where she studied nursing. She moved to Florida in 2016 and, after one year of nursing, joined the MK2MK team. Over the years, she’s been involved in several MK2MK summer projects and conferences and did their college internship in 2014. She joined full-time staff in 2020 and is excited to be a part of the MK2MK team and help to create a safe environment for everyone to ask questions and figure out where they are in their personal faith journeys.

Rachel Snider

Rachel grew up in Mustang, Oklahoma, most of her life. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated in 2015 with a BFA in dance performance. After college, she moved to Port Shepstone, South Africa, as an independent missionary for three years. While overseas, she was introduced to MK2MK and met Paul, her husband. Because of her transition as she was moving back to the States, she felt called to join the MK2MK team in the fall of 2019. Rachel is passionate about discipleship and doing life with MKs in Orlando, Florida. She is also passionate about her miniature pinscher Blayke, and doing ministry alongside her husband Paul.

Priscilla Pederson

Priscilla is a Cru staff kid who grew up in East Asia and Orlando, FL. Before joining the MK2MK team in 2018, she studied International Business and then came on Cru staff to do campus ministry in East Asia. When her family was living overseas, MK2MK did not exist yet, and she didn't experience all the fun and care they offer. She’s so excited to be a part of MK2MK as an adult and give care and mentorship to young MKs.

Julie Dykes

Julie grew up in Baltimore, MD, and Eureka, CA.  Amazing Albania and South Africa are the two places she’s been on mk2mk summer mission, as well as staffing conferences in Turkey, Egypt, and Spain.  After high school, she took a gap year and worked in almost every position at her mom’s Italian restaurant before attending Humboldt State University for a degree in Food and nutrition, Child Development, and Textile Science. Other than a few places in the US, she’s lived in Bulgaria and most recently, Budapest, Hungary.  She currently calls Orlando home.  One of her roles on the mk2mk team is championing mk2mk Connect with MK and TCK youth around the world.  She’s seen how it can foster community and provide a place to grow in Christ.

Jon Yturralde

Jon grew up in Manila, Philippines. His parents were sent by Cru to the Philippines in the 1800s (haha), and they moved back to the US in 2005. He immediately joined the mk2mk team after Graduating from UC Davis with a degree in African Studies!  Since 2012 (the year he joined), he’s led conferences, care trips, and summer missions in 17 countries over three continents! This year, Jon is focusing on our local ministry, working alongside MKs here in the City Beautiful. When he first moved to the US, mk2mk ran his transition conference, and since then, he knew he wanted to have a similar impact on younger MKs who are walking through their own transitions. Jon hopes to cross paths with you soon; exchange travel stories or fun food adventures, or let him give you some good luggage advice!

Colleen Koehler

Colleen is originally from Michigan and has lived and taught in Ghana, Salt Lake City, and Detroit.  She has been with mk2mk since 2018 and has done Midyears, curriculum planning, Kids On The Move (KOTM), and conferences all over the place.  Before joining staff with Cru she was a public school teacher for eight years and then went and lived in East Asia with the Cru campus ministry. She studied teaching and is currently licensed as a teacher.  Her role in ministry this year is KOTM, virtual ministry, curriculum planning, and getting involved in whatever else the team may need. Colleen joined the mk2mk team because she is passionate about students feeling cared about, known, and counted and helping them grow in their walk with Jesus for a lifetime.

Brenda Friesen

Brenda joined Cru in 1972 after she worked right out of High School for the Revenue Department of the State of Oregon. Her ministry with Cru started at the Arrowhead Spring headquarters in San Bernardino, CA.  After working at headquarters for two years, she joined the music ministry, singing with two different groups for four years.  God opened the door for her to join The Crossroads, a Cru singing group.  For 4 1/2 years, she traveled throughout Asia while living in Manila, Philippines.  After the group disbanded, she stayed in the Philippines, became involved in a discipleship ministry, and ended her time at our Director of Affairs office.  In 1997, she moved to California and became an Agape International Training coach, and in 2003 was challenged to join the MK2MK team as their Financial Administrator.  During her 18 years in the Philippines, she enjoyed getting to know many MKs and built a special bond with them.  Being with MK2MK has continued to give me opportunities to be a part of their lives.

Tracy Dykes

Tracy grew up in Los Angeles and has a degree in Wildlife Management and an MDiv from seminary. He and his wife (Julie) have served with Cru since 1988, 14 of those years in Bulgaria, where they raised their two sons, Timo and Max. As a family raising MKs overseas, they have a long relationship with mk2mk and experienced first-hand the blessing this ministry is to entire missionary families. Tracy joined the team in 2015, and Julie in 2018. In the summer of 2020, they returned from a 2-year stint leading an mk2mk team in Eastern Europe. Now in Orlando, Florida, Tracy helps with team training and development, local ministry, and leading conferences and mission trips.

Sue attended Purdue University in Fort Wayne, IN, and graduated a long time ago with a degree in Psychology. She and her husband then joined the campus team at the University of MN, where they helped start a Cru partnership with E.Asia. They helped lead the first team from the Upper Midwest region to plant new campus ministries in 1996.  She has 3 MKs (Garrett, Jenna, and Ian) who some of you may know from their 16 years in E. Asia or mission trips they have been on. She moved to Orlando in 2016 and joined the MK2MK team, helping with conferences, retreats, office operations, and local ministry. Sue loves serving on a team that values helping families thrive overseas and transitioning back to their home countries. Raising 3 of her own MKs, she has seen the tremendous challenges, joys, and uniqueness that being an MK brings.

Paul Snider

Paul serves as the director of mk2mk. He originally grew up in Mandeville, Jamaica, and studied Biology and English at Vanderbilt University. He first got involved with mk2mk as a summer intern in 2014. That summer, in Thailand, he fell in love with the model of discipleship, partnership, and spiritual multiplication. He gets super excited about effectiveness and how to love and encourage people well. And he especially loves his wife Rachel and their pride and joy (and dog) Blayke.
