Mind The Gap is a community-minded platform for MKs as they transition between childhood and career. We hope this space will help MKs connect with each other in this gap, provide opportunities to process, and help equip them to navigate or mind the gap well. See below for opportunities to connect.
College Connect Group
Where: Zoom
When: Tuesdays 8-9 pm (EST)
Fall: October 3rd - December 12th
What: An open group* for MKs navigating the gap between childhood and career. We’ll connect in a community of those who are in a similar stage as we process the joys, challenges, and changes this season brings.
Format: Generally, you can expect a time of casual fellowship followed by a short (5 min or so) presentation of a topic (e.g., living with roommates, building healthy rhythms, navigating new relationships with parents, etc.) followed by an open discussion as a group. The goal is not to bring you a ton of content but to spark conversation where all can share their experience and speak into others’ experiences.
*By open group, we mean that you do not have to commit to coming every Tuesday. Come when you want/can, and no worries if you can’t make it.
One-on-one sign up
We’re sure all of you know that it’s important to ask for help, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. We are offering virtual one-on-ones* if you want to talk to someone about life, areas in which you are struggling, or if you feel stuck. Our hope for these connections is that we could hear your story and what life is like for you right now and then help you think through ways to seek connection and wellness in your current context. These one-on-ones would be limited to three times throughout this semester. We’re inviting you to connect with us, but it’s on you to initiate the conversation.
*One-on-ones are not counseling, nor are they a substitute for professional counseling.
